Meet Ann Vanderslice
Ann Vanderslice, president and founder of Federal Benefits Made Simple, has helped federal employees understand their benefits, explore options to potentially optimize the value of their benefits, plan for retirement and organize income planning and IRA distributions since 2002.
Ann holds a Federal Benefits Made Simple designation from the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants as well as the chartered Retirement Planning Counselor from the College for Financial Planning and brings a wealth of retirement knowledge to her clients.
With experience in federal retirement planning, Ann customizes planning and solutions to your specific needs. As part of the planning process, she works with you on an ongoing basis to track your progress and to help ensure that your retirement income strategy is meeting your needs.
Ann also is available to speak to groups of federal employees. She offers a variety of interactive presentations to help federal workers maximize their earnings in the federal benefit system.

Jason Johnson is an Investment Adviser Representative who helps federal employees understand their benefits and plan for retirement. Jason joined Federal Benefits Made Simple in August of 2015, bringing with him over 10 years of experience in the securities and retirement planning industry. Jason has a passion for helping people and having a positive impact in their lives. He believes the foundation of good planning starts with truly understanding his clients’ goals and ambitions. Jason is a graduate of Kansas State University and is very active in his local community, organizing and coaching youth sports teams. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Megan, and their four children camping, hiking and skiing.

Ashley Robinson joined Federal Benefits Made Simple in June 2015 with over 10 years in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo. Prior to that, Ashley graduated with a BA in Communications from Arizona State University in 2002. She recently relocated to Denver, Colorado, in December 2014 from Scottsdale, Arizona. She enjoys yoga/meditation, physical fitness activities, film and travel.

Dan Werts joined Federal Benefits Made Simple in January 2016, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in sales and customer service. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002 with a BS in Economics. Dan has a passion for providing the best client experience possible and helping to ensure that our clients have a clear understanding of their products and investments. He began at Federal Benefits Made Simple as a client service specialist, and has now taken on the role of an advisor in our new office in Colorado Springs. He resides in Castle Rock with his wife and two children and spends his time working on projects around the house and spending time outdoors.

Matt Forrest joined Federal Benefits Made Simple in December 2019 with over 2 years in the financial service industry as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. He is our New Business and Licensing Specialist. Matt graduated from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire in 2009 with a degree in Sociology. After spending three years living and working in Wisconsin, he relocated to Denver in September of 2019. Prior to joining Federal Benefits Made Simple in August 2020, Tiffany spent 6 years working for the Boy Scouts of America in Denver. She brings more than 10 years of administrative experience and customer service with her. Outside of work, she is working towards her business degree from Red Rocks Community College. When she's not working or studying, Tiffany loves spending time with her family and friends, playing basketball, hiking, and traveling with her daughter.

Keith Brand joined Federal Benefits Made Simple in November 2019. He brings 20 years of Financial Service, Portfolio Management and Wealth Management experience with him. Keith has a BS in Finance from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business and obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™certification in 2009; he takes this responsibility as a CFP® professional very seriously. He has a passion for doing the right thing for the client, taking a holistic view of the client's financial situation and servicing client needs. Keith enjoys spending time with his wife, wood working and building things although most of his time is spent with his kids. Whether it’s attending his oldest daughter's volleyball games and working through the college planning process; going to his middle daughter's horseback drill team practices/events; or going to his son's sporting events.

Don Rolince serves as the Administrative Specialist for the Federal Benefits Made Simple Team. Dan has worked for the federal government for 30 years, spanning different departments and agencies including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Navy. Over his career, Dan led law enforcement programs, criminal investigations, large-scale logistics operations, and cross-regional administrative teams. Most recently, Dan led safety, security, and logistics operations for Jefferson County Schools in Lakewood, Colorado.
A decorated veteran, Dan was awarded four Navy Achievement Medals for his service as a Rotary Wing Pilot and as a Squadron Operations Officer.

Before retiring from the Department of Agriculture in 2014, Carol spent 36 years in the federal government workforce. She worked her way up from human resources clerk to HR specialist, focusing on employee benefits and retirement processing. Carol said the best part of her job came from interacting with all the employees, helping them better understand their benefits. She assisted them in completing all personnel paperwork and explaining the various forms. Carol brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table in assisting our clients with inquiries with inquiries about getting started with our firm. Mary Beth spent all but eight months of her 36 years of federal service with the Department of Veterans Affairs. She worked for VA in Minneapolis, Honolulu and Denver and retired at the end of 2010 as the Director of the VA Health Administration Center. She has a passion for helping others understand their federal benefits and was able to apply that in her previous position managing worldwide healthcare benefit programs for VA beneficiaries. Mary Beth says her satisfaction came from speaking to beneficiaries and educating them on benefits they never knew they were eligible for. At times it was life changing for them.
Now that she is retired, she is able to transfer that same passion to help federal employees understand their benefits and prepare for retirement. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking, traveling and spending time with her three grandsons.

After spending more than 20 years in office management and customer service at a dental practice, Linda recently joined our administrative team. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Colorado State University and is a lifelong Coloradoan. Linda lives in Lakewood and enjoys volunteering, biking and exploring our great state. She also plays the hand bells and occasionally crews on a hot air balloon.
